• Prep first. Bisou Balm has a matte finish, so apply Balm Amour (or any balm) first. Let it sink in for a few minutes, then blot with a tissue.

According to Leighton Denny, the UK nail brand designed the shade as "a sophisticated alternative to traditional burgundy."

When Did the Leighton Denny Tough Love Nail Polish Launch?

Leighton Denny hasn't announced an official release date for Tough Love. The polish was listed on the brand's official site from 30 September 2026 and tagged as new. It launched the same day as another dark-toned nail release, the JINsoon x Vintage Dusties The Icons Collection, a three-shade set inspired by blackened reds.

How to Apply

Leighton Denny recommends applying Tough Love to clean, dry nails over a base coat such as its 2-in-1 Base Coat and Top Coat. Use two thin coats rather than one thick one, starting about 5mm from the cuticle and swiping the tip of each nail. Wait a few minutes, then finish with top coat, swiping the tips again.
