MAC Cosmetics is relaunching Frost Lipstick in 23 shades, on sale in the US and Canada on 8 October 2026 at maccosmetics.com and MAC stores, priced at $24 in the US. The brand announced the return on Instagram: "Welcome back, Frost Lipstick. Our cult classic returns with more shades than ever."

What's New: The Full Frost Lipstick Shade List

MAC's shade card reads "[13] new shades, [10] classic shades". The 13 new-to-the-relaunch shades are made up of three bringbacks and ten all-new colours. Shade descriptions are MAC's own.

The ten classics match the shades already listed on MAC's US and UK sites. Model Behaviour, Odyssey, On and On and Icon appeared on an earlier MAC swatch image, but they are not part of this 23-shade US/Canada list.

What the Brand Says

On its product page, MAC says: "Our cult classic M·A·C Lipstick is back in the spotlight." The brand describes a weightless, high-pearl formula that catches light "without the grit of glitter", with medium, buildable coverage. According to MAC, the lipstick immediately moisturizes lips: 100% of panelists had an immediate improvement in moisture and saw a +28% increase in moisture right after use, based on clinical testing on 25 panelists who used the product once. MAC UK lists wear time as up to 8 hours.

The ingredient list starts with castor seed oil, with jojoba seed oil and candelilla, carnauba and beeswax waxes further down. The shimmer comes from pearl pigments such as mica and borosilicates. MAC notes that ingredient lists may vary, so check the packaging.

Campaign and How to Apply

Key Details on Prices and Availability

Frost Lipstick costs $24 in the US. In the UK it is £22, and the Frost shades have been listed there since August 2026. Several UK shades, including Angel, Bombshell, Fabby, Fresh Moroccan and Plum Dandy, currently show "Notify me when available". MAC has not yet confirmed the Canadian price or any third-party retailers.

m.ph by Mary Phillips, the brand from makeup artist Mary Phillips, has launched two limited-edition holiday 2026 lip kits on mphbeauty.com in October 2026. The Hard to Quit Kit costs $55 and the Lined & Lit Kit costs $38. Both sets contain only full-size products in existing shades.

What's New

Both kits are holiday sets built around the brand's best-known product, the Lip Ciggy. The packaging uses a retro pin-up illustration, and the campaign tagline is "Smoking Hot. Hard to Quit."

Hard to Quit Kit

The brand's description reads: "You know that one is never enough." The trio holds three full-size Lip Ciggys:

Philippine makeup brand ISSY launched its limited-edition Monster Collection on 6 October 2026, a lip-focused release built around two special-edition trios priced at PHP 999 each on issycosmetics.com. The brand calls it a "one-time seasonal release." Tom Ford Beauty has released Soleil Neige, its limited-edition Holiday 2026 makeup collection. It includes an eyeshadow quad, a pH-adjusting lip balm and three new lipstick shades, priced from $67 to $104 at Nordstrom in the US. Soleil Neige is the brand's snow-themed holiday line. Maybelline has launched its Holiday 2026 Glimmer Collection, a limited-edition holiday range of six Super Stay Vinyl Ink Glimmer liquid lipsticks at $13.99 each and four Lifter Liner Glimmer lip liners at $9.99 each. Both are available now in the US at Ulta Beauty, online only.

Tom Ford Beauty's most luxurious lipstick line just got bigger. The Tom Ford Reserve Lip Color Refill has launched in Germany with three new shades, Sloane Coral, Soho Mauve and Sublime Rose, alongside two returning favourites, Rodeo Red and the bestselling Scarlet Rouge. All five are available now at Breuninger, and a wider worldwide rollout is expected soon. Here's everything we know about the shades, prices and formula.

What's Inside the Reserve Formula

Reserve Lip Color debuts the Reserve oil blend, a complex formulated exclusively for Tom Ford. Pure pigments are paired with a specially developed gloss-enhancing technology that, according to the brand, gives dimensional, colour-rich radiance in a single swipe. The texture is described as weightless and silk-like, coating lips in moisture throughout the day.

Tom Ford's campaign claims 6 hours of fade-resistant wear, 6 hours of true colour clarity and 8 hours of moisture. The formula includes chamomile flower oil, and the brand states the formula is free from parabens, mineral oil and silicone.

A nice detail for collectors is that each shade is named after one of the house's iconic store locales.

The Refillable Case

The Reserve system is refillable by design, and the refills only work with the Tom Ford Reserve Lip Color Case. The case is forged from a single plane of aluminium, and each refill simply clicks into place. To refill, insert the bullet into the case, rotate it gently and listen for a soft click to make sure it is secure. In the US, the case comes in Black Fluted or Gold Fluted for $125, or you can buy the case and a refill together for $175.

How to Apply

Glide the lipstick directly from the bullet, starting at the cupid's bow for the most precise definition, then follow the contours of your lips. The bolder reds, Rodeo Red and Scarlet Rouge, benefit most from a crisp edge.
