Dior DiOriginals: A 13-Fragrance Collection Spanning Nearly 80 Years of Perfumery

Dior is launching DiOriginals on 1 October 2026, a 13-fragrance collection that restores scents from the House's archives spanning 1949 to 2003. The project is led by Dior's Perfume Creation Director Francis Kurkdjian and has been four years in the making.

The Concept: Reconstruction, Not Reproduction

According to Dior, Kurkdjian has not simply reissued the most recent reformulated versions of these perfumes. Instead, he spent four years reconstructing each scent from Dior's archives, working to bring them as close as possible to their original olfactory character and formula, with a contemporary refinement.

Kurkdjian said he used "new technologies that made it possible to recover their original formulas and restore the perfect harmony of their compositions." The collection also revives the iconic ovale perfume bottle, first created in 1949, with a modern twist that ties the range together visually.

The In-Store Line-Up

Six of the 13 scents are expected to be widely available in boutiques:

• Diorissimo (1956) — a floral built around jasmine and lily of the valley, reworked with a new texture.
• Forever and Ever Dior (2002) — a musky floral reminiscent of springtime blooms.
• Dune (1991) — a light amber floral citrus.
• Dune Homme (1997) — a citrus green woody scent with mandarin and green figs.
• Higher (2001) — a fresh aromatic woody blend of rosemary, cardamom and cedar over lemon and basil.
• Higher Energy (2003) — a fresh spicy woody fragrance featuring grapefruit and absantiss accords.

The Online-Exclusive Seven

The remaining seven fragrances are slated to launch as online exclusives, though distribution may vary by country. These are deep archival scents that haven't been widely available for decades:

What the Brand Says

Kurkdjian has grouped the restorations into two periods. The first, "Dior in Grasse", honours the work of Edmond Roudnitska and Paul Vacher, and includes Diorama, Eau Fraîche, Diorissimo and Diorling. The second, "Dior in Paris", covers scents from 1979 to 2003, including Dioressence, Jules, Dune, Dolce Vita and the Higher range.

"A perfume should be cherished and looked after like a fragile work of art that is subject to the vagaries of time," Kurkdjian said. "In the same way that luster and colour are restored to a painting, so must the quality, shine and nuance of raw materials be upheld in a fragrance."

On Eau Fraîche, Kurkdjian said he worked to "elevate all the qualities of the citrus fruits (bergamot, lemon, mandarin, orange)" and re-blended its signature aromatic basil-tarragon note, which had been under threat owing to regulations. For Diorissimo, he restored the "white lily of the valley" floral accord using a new quality of jasmine. For Jules, the new version includes readjustments to its spice notes and mosses.

Fenty Skin Lil Miss Wonderful is a floral gourmand scent of candied apple, peony and purple freesia, sold as a Butta Drop Body Milk and Allover Body Mist. The two products are sold separately, not as a boxed set: the Butta Drop Hydrating Body Milk costs $36 (US) and the Allover Body Mist $35 (US) full size or $20 (US) mini. Release Date

Lil Miss Wonderful released on 25 September 2026 via fentybeauty.com and Ulta Beauty in the US. It is part of a wave of holiday 2026 body mists that also includes the e.l.f. POP Spicy Bundt Nice Tromsø Collection, which went on sale on 5 October 2026 with its own body fragrance mist.

Lil Miss Wonderful Products

Butta Drop Hydrating Body Milk ($36)

This is a lightweight version of Fenty Skin's Butta Drop body cream. According to Fenty Skin, the milky texture absorbs quickly and leaves a satin finish that is "never sticky or heavy." It is Fenty Skin's second recent body-and-face hydration launch after the Fenty Skin Quench Kit at Sephora, a $45 set of hydrating minis.

Allover Body Mist ($35 full / $20 mini)

The mist comes in a 175 mL standard size and a 75 mL mini. Fenty describes the Allover Body Mist line as "layered, unexpected scents" to switch with the wearer's mood. Gisou Cherry Chocolate Honey Infused Hair Perfume is a gourmand hair perfume with notes of red cherry, honey nectar and chocolate. When Did the Gisou Cherry Chocolate Hair Perfume Launch?

Gisou has not announced an official release date. The hair perfume's product page was live on gisou.com by 7 October 2026, with customer reviews already posted. A fragrance creator who shared the launch reports Sephora availability, but no Sephora listing appears in our sources. The same creator says a crème brûlée scent is coming soon, which Gisou has not announced. Gisou's homepage invites shoppers to join a waitlist for early access to "la crème de la crème" of its fall collection, without naming a product.

Price

Gisou has not published a price for Cherry Chocolate. For reference, Gisou's other gourmand hair perfumes on gisou.com are $22 for 15 ml, and its standard scents are $22 for 15 ml or $38 for 50 ml. Gisou says its Vanilla Glaze hair perfume is now also available in 50 ml.

Cherry Chocolate joins Gisou's earlier gourmand hair perfumes, including Sticky Toffee, Milky Mocha, Coco-Cacao and Vanilla Glaze. Honey Infused Lip Oil - Fall Collection

The brand says it offers juicy hydration, glossy shine, an "irresistible hint of colour" and 96% naturally derived ingredients.
