What Is Chanel 31 Le Rouge Supreme Lip?

The name and shade numbering tie it to Chanel's existing 31 Le Rouge lipstick line, which Chanel's site lists with shades such as No. 20, No. 21 and No. 23. Each stick in the promo images has a debossed "31" on the bullet and sits in a faceted clear case with gold trim, echoing the glass-and-metal packaging Chanel describes for 31 Le Rouge, which is inspired by the mirrors on the Art Deco staircase at 31 rue Cambon. Our read is that Supreme Lip is a balm-format sibling of that lipstick, not a replacement for it.

How Does the Formula Wear?

The Instagram creator reports that a single swipe is sheer, that the colour becomes more vivid the more you layer it, and that it gets very close to a lipstick payoff. The formula is described as silky and smooth, with gardenia oil to moisturise the lips. Chanel lists gardenia oil as an exclusive ingredient in 31 Le Rouge, but we have not seen an official ingredient list for this balm.

Who Is It For?

Based on the description, it suits anyone who wants lip colour that can be worn sheer for daily use or built up for more colour, without a full-coverage lipstick. The neutral No. 25 and the deep No. 29 sit at opposite ends of the range, which gives the line a wider spread than five shades might suggest.

The shot list covers white-cased lipsticks in a quilted sleeve, three shimmer glosses, an embossed eyeshadow quad, a gold liquid liner, the oversized Neige d'Or illuminating powder, an embossed pink blush and a La Crème Main hand cream in a tweed pouch. Based on the promo images, these are the pieces we can identify:

• Lipsticks: a pink, a red and a white balm-style stick, each in an individual clear-and-white case with gold trim, plus a quilted white sleeve with a magnetic snap.
• Lip glosses: three shimmer glosses in white-silver, golden and peachy pink.
• Eyeshadow quad: four shades (taupe, pearly white, pale champagne and deep brown) in an embossed compact with a tweed pouch.

What Are the Chanel Holiday 2026 Lipstick Shades?

A Japanese swatch card labels three shades: Blanc Éternel, Rose Enchanté and Rouge Féerie, running from a sheer white through a soft coral pink to a bright cherry red. We have transcribed these names from katakana, so treat the spellings, and which product each belongs to, as unconfirmed until Chanel publishes its own shade list. The three sticks pictured in the lipstick cases match that white, pink and red range.

How Do the Glosses, Eyeshadow and Liner Look?

The glosses swatch as sheer, glassy washes with fine sparkle rather than heavy glitter. The quad's four swatches read as a soft neutral run: a mid taupe, a pearly highlight, a champagne wash and a deeper brown. The gold liquid liner is the boldest item on show and looks like the piece most likely to be worn on its own.

What Do the Neige d'Or Powder and Blush Look Like?

The Oversized Illuminating Powder Neige d'Or is the collection's face piece. The Instagram creator who shared these images describes it as leaning gold and warm-toned with white glitter, and says they have passed on oversized products for some time. In the promo swatch it looks pale and pearly on skin. The blush pan carries a script embossing and swatches as a soft, buildable pink.

Our Take: Presentation Over Palette

The Instagram creator argues that the shades here have been done before and that the appeal is the packaging, especially the fluffy pouches and the white lipstick cases, and compares the quad to the Tweed Cuivre Palette 01. We agree the colours are familiar. Our take is that the launch is built for collectors, and the pouch and sleeve details are what set it apart from a standard Chanel neutral palette. If you already own Chanel neutrals, the quad and lip shades are the easiest to skip.

When Is the Chanel Holiday 2026 Collection Launching and How Much Is It?

Chanel has not announced a release date, pricing or regional availability at the time of writing, and the collection was only seen in promo images first shared in Asia.
