CHANEL has quietly added a new destination to one of its most underrated fragrance lines. PARIS – ST. MORITZ (2026) is the latest LES EAUX DE CHANEL Eau de Toilette, and it marks a first for the collection: a scent inspired by winter. If you love the airy, easy-wearing character of the Les Eaux range but want something cosier for colder months, this one deserves a place on your radar.

What's New: The First Winter Eau

Until now, the Les Eaux collection has travelled from Paris to PARIS – DEAUVILLE, PARIS – BIARRITZ, PARIS – VENISE, PARIS – EDIMBOURG, PARIS – RIVIERA and PARIS – PARIS, but never to a winter destination. PARIS – ST. MORITZ takes the series to the Alps for the first time.

The story goes back to the late 1920s, when Gabrielle Chanel spent time in St. Moritz. She skied, enjoyed winter sports, and dressed in elegant warm outfits, refusing to choose between comfort and style. CHANEL says the fragrance "wears like winter clothing", and that description sets the mood perfectly.

The Scent: Pear, Rose and Musky Amber

Created by CHANEL In-House Perfumer-Creator Olivier Polge, the composition is built around three ideas:

• A fresh, fruity pear accord gives the opening its brightness.
• A floral rose facet adds refinement and a touch of elegance.
• Sensual musky-ambery notes provide warmth and contrast underneath.

CHANEL calls it "luminous and enveloping". It keeps the spontaneous, effortless quality of the Les Eaux line, but the ambery-musky base gives it more softness and comfort than the brand's summery destinations.

How to Wear It

• Layer it with knitwear. A light mist over a cashmere scarf or a roll-neck suits the scent's cosy, "winter clothing" concept.
• Apply to pulse points such as the wrists, the neck and behind the ears, where body heat helps the musky-amber base develop.
• Try it as a weekend signature. Because it is an Eau de Toilette, it works well for daytime, from brunch to an afternoon walk in the cold.
• Start with the 50 ml if you are new to the Les Eaux line, then move up to the 125 ml once you are hooked.

Final Thoughts

CHANEL PARIS – ST. MORITZ is a welcome twist on the Les Eaux formula. It pairs the brightness of pear with the softness of rose and a warm musky-amber base, making it an easy option for winter days. We will update this post as soon as US availability is confirmed.

Chanel is preparing its Holiday 2026 Makeup Collection, titled Chanel Winter Village and inspired by St. Moritz, with a launch reported for 15 October 2026. Pricing has not been announced.

The lineup takes its cue from the snow-dusted streets and gondola-lined slopes of St. Moritz. It includes festive 31 Le Rouge lipsticks, lip glosses, an eyeshadow quad, a gold liquid liner, an oversized illuminating powder, a blush, hand cream and nail polish. Details come from newly surfaced campaign imagery, earlier promo shots from Asian beauty accounts and Japanese magazine features.

Update (30 September 2026): Beauty insiders report that the Chanel Holiday 2026 Winter Village collection will launch in the second half of October 2026, and one source gives 15 October. A second report places the launch between the second half of October and early November 2026. Chanel hasn't confirmed a date, price or retailers yet.

The Winter Village Campaign

The campaign depicts a snow-covered alpine hamlet with chalets, ski breaks and the maison's signature gondolas gliding through the village. The gift campaign uses wintry imagery and wrapped gift boxes, with hero fragrance and body pieces styled into the snowy scene: N°5, Coco Mademoiselle body oils and the 31 Le Rouge lipstick. The makeup collection is designed to sit within the same story.

Products, Swatches & Packaging

The lineup combines core Chanel formulas with limited-edition pieces:

• 31 Le Rouge (three festive editions): balm, satin and matte finishes in sheer white, pink and red. They come in clear-and-white cases with gold trim, housed in a quilted white magnetic sleeve.
• Rouge Coco Hydra Gloss: shades 462 Givré and 464 Étincelle, plus a Trio Set that adds the exclusive shade 817 Aura and comes with a fluffy white drawstring pouch. The glosses are white-silver, gold and peachy pink, and swatch as glassy washes with fine sparkle.
• Les 4 Ombres 39 Ombres d'Or: Nuvole di Bellezza lists the shades as warm taupe, pearly pink, brown and golden champagne. Earlier images suggested a taupe, pearly white, pale champagne and deep brown line-up. The quad has an embossed compact and a soft white case.
• Le Liner de Chanel 554 Éclat Doré: a metallic gold liquid liner.
• Neige d'Or Oversized Illuminating Powder: a white-gold highlighter embossed with a ski-lift and pine-tree scene. It comes with a matching white pouch.
• Joues Contraste Intense Mont Rose: a satin rosewood blush with script embossing pressed into the pan.
• La Crème Main: the egg-shaped hand cream, with a soft knit pouch featuring a gold Chanel logo.
• Le Vernis: two lacquers, 445 Blanc Alpin (snowy white) and 447 Scintillance (gold).
• Sublimage Le Concentré Lumière: a 15 ml liquid highlighter with fan brush, listed alongside the collection by Nuvole di Bellezza.

Shade Names to Watch

A Japanese swatch card lists the three 31 Le Rouge editions as Blanc Éternel, Rose Enchantée and Rouge Féerique. They move from sheer white through soft coral pink to bright cherry red. Earlier transcriptions from katakana spelled two of the names differently, so treat spellings as unconfirmed until Chanel publishes an official list.

How It Compares with Previous Releases

The colour range of soft neutrals, pink blush and gold shimmer follows the palette Chanel has used in previous holiday collections. Nuvole di Bellezza notes that this year pairs gold with snow white, cool pinks and wood-toned browns rather than traditional red-and-gold festive motifs. The main differences are in presentation: the quilted lipstick sleeve, the soft white pouches and the embossed Neige d'Or pan.

CHANEL has launched the ÉCLAT PREMIER Bright Silky Cream, a refillable moisturizer priced at $230 (US) and £170 (UK). It launched first in Asia in April 2026 and is now available in the US and UK, where chanel.com labels it "New." According to CHANEL, the cream brightens, unifies and soothes the skin, targeting the look of dark spots, post-acne marks and redness. The brand says it builds on more than 30 years of clinical research into both preventing and correcting the look of dark spots, and that it is designed to preserve and revive the complexion's first radiance.

What's New

The key active in the formula is TXC, a molecule built on patented technology exclusive to CHANEL. It is patented in Europe, Japan and the US, and appears on the ingredient list as cetyl tranexamate HCl. According to CHANEL, TXC targets 8 factors behind the appearance of hyperpigmentation, including pigmentation linked to aging, sun exposure and acne.

CHANEL says it tested the formula using 3D skin bioprinting technology. According to the brand, the results showed efficacy on all three dimensions of dark spots: intensity, size and shape.

The formula also contains two supporting ingredients:

• Vitamin E, which CHANEL says boosts radiance.
• Allantoin, which according to the brand calms the look of redness and smooths roughness.

The ingredient list also includes squalane and niacinamide. According to CHANEL, up to 80% of the formula is naturally derived (ISO 16128).

What the Brand Says

CHANEL says redness looks reduced right after application. In clinical testing on 34 women over 8 weeks, the brand reports:

• A complexion that looks 41% more radiant and 3x more even
• The appearance of redness reduced by 50%
• Skin that feels 82% more comfortable (self-assessment)
• Hydration that lasts up to 8 hours (instrumental evaluation of 15 people)

Good to know: the formula contains parfum (fragrance). CHANEL labels the cream suitable for sensitive skin, but people whose skin reacts to fragrance may want to patch test first.

How to Apply

CHANEL recommends using the cream morning and evening on the face and neck:

1. Apply after the ÉCLAT PREMIER Bright Treatment Serum.
2. Dot the cream onto each cheek, the forehead and the chin.
3. Smooth it from the center of the face outward, then down onto the neck.
4. For extra nourishment, finish with the ÉCLAT PREMIER Bright 3-in-1 Oil.

Price and Value

The cream comes in a refillable jar, and the refill pod is sold separately. The refill costs $200 (US) and £148 (UK), compared with $230 and £170 for the full jar.

Chanel hasn't announced an official release date, and no dated retailer listings or sightings have been confirmed. The palettes are known only from leaked product and campaign images. Chanel's spring makeup collections have traditionally arrived in January–February. The Chanel Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Palettes for Spring 2024 were also part of a spring launch. Palette 2: Rosy Quad

The second quad holds four warmer shades: mauve/plum, terracotta rose, warm peach-champagne and dusty rose, in a shimmer-to-metallic finish. The powders are embossed with Chanel house codes: camellias, a swallow bird and the silhouette of the N°5 perfume bottle. The leaked campaign image shows a rosy-copper shimmer lid, dewy skin and a nude-pink lip.

What Makes the Chanel Les 4 Ombres Spring 2027 Palettes Different?

• The release consists of two quads with contrasting colour stories, one pastel and one rosy.

What Makes the Chanel 31 Le Rouge Supreme Lip Different?

Formula and Packaging

Formula: The Instagram creator describes the formula as silky and smooth, with gardenia oil to moisturise the lips. Chanel lists gardenia oil as an exclusive ingredient in 31 Le Rouge. No official ingredient list for this balm has been published.

Link to 31 Le Rouge: The name and shade numbering tie the balm to Chanel's existing 31 Le Rouge lipstick line. According to Chanel, 31 Le Rouge is "a lipstick as well as a plumping, smoothing and moisturizing product," and its page lists satin and matte versions.

Packaging: According to Chanel, each 31 Le Rouge lipstick comes in a faceted square case recalling the mirrors that line the Art Deco staircase at 31 rue Cambon. The case in the promo images follows that faceted design.

The name and packaging point to a balm-format addition to the 31 Le Rouge line rather than a replacement, but Chanel has not confirmed this.
