What Is Extra-terrestrial?
Extra-terrestrial is the new shade in e.l.f.'s duochrome liquid eyeshadow range, described as packed with reflective pigments that create bold, metallic looks that "shift and dazzle in the light." The formula is a comfortable-wear, gel-based liquid that e.l.f. says gives an intense multi-chrome effect in a single swipe over the lid.

Our take: going by those descriptions alone (we have not swatched them), Extra-terrestrial and Venus Envy are the two three-tone shades. Cyberpink is the most pink-and-gold, while Mer-mazing stays in cool blue-green territory. If you want a color that leans warm-pink, start with Extra-terrestrial or Cyberpink.
What Is Confirmed, and What Is Not?
Confirmed: e.l.f. sells all four shades on its Duochrome Liquid Eyeshadow page at $9. The page rates the product 4.8 stars, but from only 6 reviews, so treat that score as a small sample. e.l.f. also lists it as 100% vegan, cruelty-free and Fair Trade.
Not confirmed: the page we read doesn't show a size, and it doesn't say which of the four shades were in the original October 2023 launch. Our launch post for the original Duochrome Liquid Eyeshadow covers the first release.
September 21, 2026 update: we re-checked the shade list, price and rating on e.l.f.'s product page. The price is $1 higher than at the July 2024 announcement.
