According to Living Proof's press release, Frosted Fig launched on livingproof.com on 1 October 2026. Anthropologie listed it as shipping around 4 October 2026. By 7 October 2026, Ulta and Lookfantastic both listed it as in stock. It arrived the same week as the Crown Affair The Vault Holiday 2026 Hair Care Set, another holiday 2026 hair care release that opened to all shoppers on 2 October.

What Makes the Perfect Hair Day Frosted Fig Dry Shampoo Different?
- It uses the Advanced Clean formula, not the Original Dry Shampoo, with a limited-edition fig, coconut and lily scent in place of the core version's light scent.
- Citing Mintel data, Living Proof says searches for fig fragrances in haircare have grown more than 600% over the past three years.
- It follows the brand's earlier limited-edition scents, Velvet Amber and Sun-kissed Pear. Living Proof says those drew new customers, with 55% of purchasers new to the brand. The brand positions Frosted Fig for discovery and gifting.
Formula Details
According to Living Proof, this edition is designed "for days when washes are fewer and freshness matters more." The brand says the formula:
- cleans and cares like a rinse-out shampoo
- removes oil, sweat and odor
- leaves hair soft, naturally shiny and manageable
- leaves no visible or textured residue
- helps balance the scalp's sebum levels
- provides pollution protection
Living Proof says the formula works through four parts:
- fast-absorbing powders
- odor neutralizers
- a sebum balancer
- a powder removal system that reduces surface friction to remove the powders
Rice starch, corn starch and cyclodextrin appear near the top of the ingredient list. Lookfantastic's printed list shows a shorter set of fragrance components than the lists on Living Proof's and Ulta's pages. Living Proof advises checking the packaging for the current list. Ulta notes that the item cannot be shipped via air.

How to Use
Living Proof says to shake the can extremely well before each spray and hold it 6–10 inches from dry, dirty hair. Section the hair, apply in a sweeping motion and wait 30 seconds. Then massage or brush the roots to remove the powder, reapply as needed, shaking the can again, and style as desired.
