Bobbi Brown announced 11 new shades of its Extra Plump Lip Serum in March 2024, including a clear one, described as a serum-strength lip treatment that plumps, defines and shines. A current Bobbi Brown listing surfaced in search results at $28 under the name Extra Plump Lip Oil Serum, but the site blocked our request, so we couldn't confirm details there.

What Does the Extra Plump Lip Serum Do?

Bobbi Brown says the serum-potency lip treatment replenishes, plumps, defines and shines, with visibly plumper lips and smoother lip lines. The formula is infused with a blend of six botanical oils and powered by the Extra Plump Complex, and the brand claims 24-hour moisture and 8-hour shine.

What Were the New Shades Inspired By?

The March 2024 shades were inspired by the original favorites, and included a clear option. Bobbi Brown's site lists shades, but we couldn't open the page to get a full list.

Our take: a clear shade in the set is a practical choice for people who want the plumping treatment without color, and layering a tint over it is a common way to use a lip serum. Which shade suits you depends on your lip color, and we haven't swatched them.

Should You Buy It?

Buy it if you want a lip treatment with a glossy finish and a plumping claim, and you're fine with a mid-range price.

Skip it if you want a matte lip, or you're sensitive to plumping ingredients. The brand names the Extra Plump Complex but we could not read the full ingredient list.

What Is Confirmed, and What Is Not?

Confirmed: the March 2024 announcement details (11 shades, clear shade, six botanical oils, Extra Plump Complex, 24-hour moisture and 8-hour shine).

Not confirmed: the current price and shade count, and whether the current Extra Plump Lip Oil Serum is the same product under a new name or a related one. Bobbi Brown's site returned an access error, so the $28 figure, the name "Extra Plump Lip Oil Serum" and the shade names come from search-result snippets, not from the page.
