Guerlain L'Heure Bleue Eau de Parfum is a new amber-floral fragrance by Delphine Jelk with key notes of an ozonic accord, iris and vanilla. It costs from $110 for 30ml in the US and £109 for 50ml in the UK, and has been on sale at Guerlain, Sephora, Selfridges and other retailers since August 2026. It pays tribute to Jacques Guerlain's 1912 L'Heure Bleue rather than reissuing it. On 5 October 2026 Guerlain also unveiled a one-of-a-kind art piece by jeweller Begüm Khan in its honour.
When Did the Guerlain L'Heure Bleue Eau de Parfum Launch?

Guerlain L'Heure Bleue Eau de Parfum Fragrance Notes
Guerlain highlights three key notes:
Retailers and fragrance databases arrange the notes into top, heart and base tiers, but they don't fully agree. Selfridges lists pear and a marshmallow accord where Fragrantica lists orange blossom and orris. Both include neroli, jasmine, ambroxan and musk.
What Does Guerlain L'Heure Bleue Eau de Parfum Smell Like?
The scent opens on airy ozonic freshness, centres on iris and settles on vanilla. Guerlain describes the central accord as "ozonic freshness paired with iris and vanilla".
Guerlain gave Harper's Bazaar more detail on the structure:
- The ozonic top note combines the molecule Cascalone with a blue sky accord.
- The heart pairs orange blossom with a Guerlain-exclusive iris butter.
- A rhizome-derived bespoke iris tincture took three years to create and gives the fragrance its blue colour.
Selfridges' listing says the tincture was developed specially for L'Heure Bleue and is paired with iris butter "to capture the flower as a whole". The listing describes the opening as "an airy freshness like a pure thrill, inspired by the sky in the blue hour."
Rouge G Lipstick Cases and Soap
- Rouge G customisable lipstick cases (limited edition), $45 (US), in three designs:
- Bleu Astral: blue rhinestone gradient
- Bleu Iconique: blue with gold GUERLAIN lettering
- Bleu Rêverie: blue fabric with gold accents
The lipstick bullet is sold separately. Rouge G lipstick also features in the Guerlain Advent Calendar 2026, the brand's 25-piece holiday calendar.
- L'Heure Bleue solid soap for hands and body, 120g (4.2 oz), $40 (US) and A$55 (Australia).

What Makes the L'Heure Bleue Eau de Parfum Different?
- It uses a bespoke iris tincture that, according to Guerlain, took three years to develop and gives the fragrance its blue colour.
- It comes in the original 1912 inverted-heart flacon, reworked in a blue gradient, and the bottle is refillable with a 200ml refill.
- According to Harper's Bazaar, it is Guerlain's first feminine-focused fragrance in 10 years.
Both are built around the blue hour, the moment between sunset and nightfall. The 2026 version uses a different structure and is sold as a separate fragrance alongside the original in Guerlain's permanent collection.
Delphine Jelk, Guerlain Perfumer and Director of Fragrance Creation, said: "I wanted to capture the blue hour with the same tenderness as Jacques Guerlain's L'Heure Bleue from 1912." She told Harper's Bazaar: "If Jacques Guerlain had created L'Heure Bleue in 2026, what would it be? That's why I don't talk about modernization or reinterpretation—it's more like paying tribute."
The L'Heure Bleue Bottle and Refill
The new scent comes in the inverted-heart flacon from 1912, reworked in a blue gradient with gold lettering and a blue-accented collar. The bottle is refillable, and a 200ml refill is sold separately.
According to the refill listing, you unscrew the pump, screw the refill upside down onto the neck of the bottle, then screw the pump back on. Filling stops automatically when the bottle is full.
L'Heure Bleue: Exceptional Art Piece by Begüm Khan
On 5 October 2026, Guerlain presented "L'Heure Bleue: Exceptional Art Piece", a one-of-a-kind Exceptional Creation by jeweller Begüm Khan made in honour of the new Eau de Parfum. Guerlain has not announced a price or any further details.
