In April 2024, Kaja released two new stacked eyeshadow trios, Taro Bubble Tea and Cold Brew Einspänner. Our original post called them Stacked Bouncy Eyeshadow Trios. Kaja now sells them as the Beauty Bento Bouncy Shimmer Eyeshadow Trio, and both shades are still listed.
What's in Each Trio?
Each Beauty Bento is three bouncy, creamy powder shadows stacked on top of each other. The shade names below come from Kaja's official "get the look" tutorials.
Taro Bubble Tea (soft lavender):
- Taro Milk: the light shimmer for the inner corner
- Lavender Tea: the lavender shimmer for the center of the lid
- Boba: the deep purple-brown for the outer edge
Cold Brew Einspänner (neutral gray-brown):
- Cream Espresso: the light shimmer for the inner corner
- Cocoa Sprinkles: the taupe shimmer for the center of the lid
- Dark Roast: the deep brown for the outer edge
How Do You Apply Beauty Bento?
Kaja designed these to be applied with your fingers. Its tutorials use the same order for both trios: the deepest shade on the outer edge, the middle shimmer on the inner half and center of the lid, and the lightest shade in the inner corner. At launch, Kaja said its Glitter Arrangement Technology spreads the shimmer evenly with every swipe.
What Else Is in the Range?
Kaja's product page lists 17 Beauty Bento shades, from Chocolate Dahlia and Rosewater to Peach Madeline, Blueberry Bingsu and Chai Latte Haze. Kaja says Beauty Bento won a 2019 Allure Best of Beauty award.
Our take: Cold Brew Einspänner is the easier everyday pick. Taro Bubble Tea is the more distinctive one and suits lavender lovers who want a soft, wearable purple.
