e.l.f. lists five shades with these descriptions:

e.l.f. describes the tints as sheer and universally flattering, with buildable color and a lightweight, non-sticky formula.

Our take: the range leans soft, so it is a wash-of-color gloss, not a bold statement lip. That's My Jam is the only berry on the list.

Is the SPF Enough?

e.l.f. lists broad-spectrum SPF 25 sun protection. Our take: a gloss wears off faster than a sunscreen because of eating, drinking and rubbing, so reapply during the day if you are counting on it for sun exposure.

What Does It Feel and Smell Like?

e.l.f. says the formula is moisturizing, with conditioning vitamin E and hyaluronic acid, plus "a delish coconut scent that treats lips to a tropical vacay." If you dislike scented lip products, that is worth knowing before you buy.

What Is Confirmed, and What Is Not?

Confirmed: the price, five shades, SPF, scent and 4.7 star rating are all from e.l.f.'s Sun Boss Gloss page. e.l.f. lists the product as 100% vegan, cruelty-free and Fair Trade.

Not confirmed: the page we read didn't show the size or the full ingredient list, and we can't confirm the current Ulta listing.
