Make Up For Ever's (also written Makeup Forever) HD Skin Hydra Glow is a hydrating foundation in 38 shades, designed for dry, normal, mature or sensitive skin, with medium, buildable coverage and a radiant finish. It was announced in January 2024 as the newest addition to the HD Skin range.

What Makes HD Skin Hydra Glow Different From the Rest of HD Skin?

The launch announcement calls it a treatment-style foundation: an "86% treatment" formula for hydration, plumping and skin stimulation, meant to stay comfortable all day "akin to" a hydrating sheet mask. The key ingredient is the brand's Hydra Skin Booster, described as a network of biopolymers infused with hyaluronic acid that replicates the hydrating benefits of a treatment mask.

Our take: we read "86% treatment" as the brand's framing for the skincare-oriented share of the formula, but we couldn't read a full ingredient list to verify it. The practical takeaway is that this is the HD Skin option for glowy, hydrated skin, not for a matte finish.

Who Should Consider It?

Buy it if you have dry, mature or sensitive skin and want a natural-looking base with a radiant finish.

Skip it if you have oily skin and prefer a matte finish. Our take: a glowy, hydrating foundation is designed to add shine, so an oil-controlling formula is a better match.

How Wide Is the Shade Range?

Make Up For Ever lists 38 shades and a shade finder for the foundation on its site. A mini size and a Glow Duo set also appear in search results for the brand's site. We could not open the pages to check shade names, undertones or prices.

What Is Confirmed, and What Is Not?

Confirmed: the January 2024 launch details (38 shades, coverage, finish, skin types, Hydra Skin Booster) come from the announcement, and the brand's search-listed page describes a foundation with hyaluronic acid and 38 shades.
