Hourglass's Ambient Lighting Edit palettes are two limited-edition, $90 palettes launched on April 30, 2024: Blush & Glow Volume II and Bronze & Highlight. Each has six shades of finishing powder, color and highlighter, made with Hourglass's Photoluminescent Technology.

Which Palette Should You Choose?

Our take: the difference is what you want the color to do. Blush & Glow Volume II is built around three blushes (two mauves and a poppy), while Bronze & Highlight is built around two bronzers. Both share the Champagne Strobe Light highlighter, so you get it either way. The poppy Diffused Heat is the most distinctive shade across the two, going by the description.

Hourglass says the powders filter surrounding light to blur imperfections and refine skin's appearance, and can be used alone or layered. Our launch post said the palettes showcase the best-selling Ambient Lighting powders, each with a finishing powder, color and highlighter.

Is It Still Available?

These were limited-edition palettes, so they may be sold out. We did not check stock at any retailer. A later Hourglass release, the Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked, appears on Hourglass's site in search results, but it is a different palette.
