The Byredo Borealis Eyeshadow Palette is a limited-edition 18-shade palette that leads Byredo's Holiday 2026 Borealis collection. It costs $150 in the US, £125 in the UK and €135 in Europe at Byredo's own site, where it was on sale by 15 October 2026. The second product in the Byredo Borealis Holiday 2026 Collection is the Liquid Lipstick Vinyl in Aurora ($55 / €48), a holographic lilac lip shade. The two are sold separately, not as a boxed set.

Updated 15 October 2026: Both products are now on sale at byredo.com US (palette $150, Aurora $55) and Canada (CA$200 and CA$75), and Byredo has published the names and finishes of all 18 shades. The palette is also in stock at byredo.com UK, Europe, Switzerland and Sweden; Aurora at byredo.com Europe and Switzerland. Because the collection is limited edition, stock can change quickly.

The collection arrives alongside Byredo's other seasonal launches, the Byredo Les Miniatures Holiday 2026 fragrance set and the Byredo Advent Calendar 2026.

When Did the Byredo Borealis Collection Launch?

Byredo hasn't announced an official release date for the Borealis collection. On 15 October 2026, the palette was on sale at byredo.com UK, Europe, Switzerland and Sweden, and the Aurora Liquid Lipstick Vinyl was on sale at byredo.com Europe and Switzerland. German beauty news site Glam Junkies reported the collection the same day. Later on 15 October 2026, both products went on sale at byredo.com US and Canada.

Borealis Eyeshadow Palette. Byredo says the palette explores "unexpected winter lights across the Nordic sky". The shades move from soft pastels and muted natural tones to luminous, sparkling hues. Byredo describes the colours as:

Liquid Lipstick Vinyl in Aurora. This is a limited holiday shade. Byredo describes it as a holographic lilac with iridescent pearls that gives a translucent, mirror-like shine. It can be worn alone or layered.

What Makes the Byredo Borealis Collection Different?

  • Packaging: The palette comes in a new, slimmer version of Byredo's mirrored case. The case carries an aurora borealis motif of luminous green light on a dark sky.
  • Shade story: The palette pairs earthy browns, beiges and forest greens with pink, raspberry, silver and violet accents.   • Matching lip shade: Aurora is a limited holographic lilac version of the Liquid Lipstick Vinyl, with iridescent pearls, made for the same Nordic-sky theme.

Formula and Packaging

  • Borealis Eyeshadow Palette: According to Byredo, the shades are soft, creamy, highly pigmented, buildable and blendable, with a lightweight finish. The brand says they last up to 12 hours without smudging. They can be applied with a brush or fingertips.
  • Liquid Lipstick Vinyl in Aurora: Byredo says the formula is a vegan blend of oils and shea butter that is non-bleeding, long-wearing and non-sticky. It comes with a sharp, lightly flocked wand for precise application.
