What Makes the Mini HY-GLAM Concealer Different?

  • It is a $19 travel-size tube of the HY-GLAM Concealer, which launched in full size in 2023 at $32.
  • It comes in 20 shades, compared with 50 to 52 shades for the full size.
  • It keeps the full size's shaped applicator. The brand's diagram shows a pointed tip for precise areas, a hollow reservoir, and a flat side for under the eyes and larger areas.

Formula and Packaging

Sephora describes the mini as "a mini creamy, travel-friendly, high-performance concealer with skincare ingredients to visibly brighten, depuff, blur, and deliver a natural finish."

  • Key ingredients (per Sephora):

- Capsicum annuum leaf, which the retailer says fades the look of dark circles and visibly reduces puffiness

- Portulaca grandiflora, which it describes as an antioxidant

- Biomimetic pigments, which it says adapt to skin texture

  • Technology: The brand cites Butterflow Technology and claims up to 19-hour, crease-proof wear.
  • Clinical claims (per Natasha Denona): The brand cites ex-vivo test results on 30 volunteers over 28 days. In a separate 28-day test with 70 additional contributors, 61% reported a noticeable reduction in dark circles and 51% reported a significant reduction in under-eye puffiness.
  • Free-from: Sephora lists it as free of parabens and mineral oil, gluten-free and cruelty-free.

The HY-GLAM name also covers the Natasha Denona HY-GLAM Powder Foundation. For more of the brand's recent launches, see the Natasha Denona Midi Gloom Eyeshadow Palette or browse all makeup releases.

How to Apply

Natasha Denona recommends the flat side of the applicator for the under-eye area and larger areas, and the pointed tip for spot concealing. Blend with a sponge, brush or clean finger. Under the eyes, the brand advises letting the concealer set for a couple of minutes, then blending from the outer corner inwards with a dry finger, optionally followed by powder.
