e.l.f.'s Jelly Pop Dew Primer is a sticky, watermelon-scented gel primer that grips makeup and moisturizes skin. It returned in January 2024 for a limited time at $10, and it comes and goes: e.l.f.'s European site lists it at €12 and showed it out of stock when we checked.

What Does the Jelly Pop Dew Primer Do?

e.l.f. describes a sticky gel primer that smooths skin texture, grips makeup so it stays put, and moisturizes. The translucent formula is meant for all skin tones and has a refreshing watermelon scent.

Is It Back in Stock, and Where Can You Buy It?

Our take: this is a recurring limited-run product, not a permanent one. In January 2024 it was Beauty Squad-first and headed to Ulta, and e.l.f.'s Jelly Pop page describes it as a returning product. Check e.l.f.'s site and Ulta for the current status, and our Jelly Pop Collection post for the other pieces in the range.

What Is in the Formula?

The ingredient claims differ between sources, so we're showing both:

• Launch announcement (January 2024): hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C and watermelon extract.

Bobbi Brown's Vitamin Enriched Smoothing Serum is a two-in-one smoothing serum and glow essence made with niacinamide and vitamin C. It launched in January 2024 at $85, and Bobbi Brown says it delivers smoother, more even-toned skin in four weeks.

What Is in the Smoothing Serum?

The launch announcement says the serum has 10 potent skin-caring ingredients. Bobbi Brown highlights these in search-result descriptions of its page:

• Niacinamide (vitamin B3): for long-term hydration.
• Vitamin C: to help with dullness and skin-tone brightening over time.
• HydroGlow Fruit Complex and cactus flower: for long-term moisturization and a healthy-looking glow.
• Hyaluronic acid: a burst of lightweight moisture that helps plump fine dry lines.

How Do You Use It?

According to Bobbi Brown's directions, apply to clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye area, twice a day, morning and night. The brand says it also preps skin for makeup, and that pairing it with its Vitamin Enriched Face Base helps plump the skin and gives a smoother makeup application.

Should You Buy It?

Buy it if you want a niacinamide and vitamin C serum from a makeup brand and like the idea of a glow-focused finish.

Skip it if you want an inexpensive niacinamide or vitamin C serum. Our take: at $85, the price is the main question, and we can't verify what results the four-week claim is based on.

What Kind of Formula Is It?

MOIRA describes Chroma Light as a highly pigmented metallic eyeshadow with micro-fine glitter, a creamy texture and "maximum sparkle with minimal fallout". Some shades are sold as duo-chrome. The ingredient list starts with calcium aluminum borosilicate and synthetic fluorphlogopite, the glass-flake and mica-style pearls that make the sparkle. It also contains talc, emollient esters, glycerin and magnesium stearate for binding.

How to apply: MOIRA recommends an eyeshadow primer first, then packing the color on with a flat brush or a fingertip and softening the edges with a fluffier brush.

Is the Bundle Worth It?

At $6 a shade, all 24 bought separately would cost $144. The bundle is $125, a saving of $19 (about 13%). Our take: most people will be better off picking two or three shades. The bundle makes sense only if you're a glitter collector or a working makeup artist.
