Bobbi Brown's Powder Blush is a buildable, blendable pressed blush in matte and shimmer finishes. It was launched with 12 shades in January 2024 at $36 through Ulta Beauty, and Bobbi Brown says the shades are designed to replicate the natural flush of cheeks on all skin tones.

What Is the Difference Between the Matte and Shimmer Finishes?

According to Bobbi Brown, the matte finish gives a soft, natural makeup look, and the shimmer finish adds light-catching pearl particles for a subtle sheen. Search results for Bobbi Brown's site describe the color families as pink, coral, tawny and bronze.

Our take: because both finishes are sold in the same range, you can choose by mood: matte for everyday and shimmer for a lit-from-within cheek. We couldn't verify which of the 12 shades are matte and which are shimmer, since Bobbi Brown's site blocked our request.

What Is in the Formula?

The formula is described as emollient-coated for a silky, lightweight texture, and infused with coconut oil for a soft touch. Microspheres help blend it seamlessly into the skin for a flawless application. It is a tone-true color, made to look like a natural flush.

Who Is It For?

Buy it if you like a blush that builds from a soft flush to a fuller pop of color, and you want a pressed powder with a silky feel.

Skip it if you prefer a cream or liquid blush, or you're watching the price: at $36 it costs more than drugstore powders, such as e.l.f.'s Primer-Infused Matte Blush at $7.

What Is Confirmed, and What Is Not?

Confirmed: the January 2024 details (12 shades, $36, Ulta availability, finishes and ingredients) come from the launch announcement.

Not confirmed: the current price, shade count, shade names and finish per shade. Bobbi Brown's site returned an access error when we tried to open it.
