Kylie Cosmetics launched its Tinted Butter Balm on June 14, 2023 at kyliecosmetics.com. It started with six shades of a creamy, hydrating balm-lipstick. Three years later the range has grown to ten shades and costs $21. Here's the launch line-up and what's been added since.

All six are still sold. The swatch chart from launch shows Moving On as the only true red. She's Lovely is the deepest nude, and Pink Me Up At 8 is the sheerest.
Which Shades Have Been Added Since?
Kylie Cosmetics now also lists Angel Cake, Honey, Mocha Kiss and Spiced, taking the range to ten. They weren't part of the June 2023 launch, and Kylie Cosmetics hasn't published a release date for each one.
What Does the Formula Promise?
Kylie Cosmetics says the balm gives 12-hour hydration and great color payoff. It credits jojoba oil for a "buttery smooth" formula that moisturizes, smooths lip lines and softens dry lips, with a shiny, pigmented finish.
Our take: "balm" undersells it. Judging by the swatches, the darker shades read closer to a sheer lipstick than a tinted lip balm, so pick them as you would a lipstick.
Are There Tinted Butter Balm Sets?
Yes. On September 25, 2026 the brand also sold a Tinted Butter Balm Trio Gift Set ($40), a Tinted Butter Balm & Precision Pout Lip Liner Duo ($36) and a Hybrid Blush & Tinted Butter Balm Duo. Its separate Lip Butter ($21) is a different product.
