Experiment's Glycerin Discovery Skincare Hydration Set is a three-step barrier kit with a full-size Super Saturated serum and two minis. The set costs $42 at Sephora US and on experimentbeauty.com, which both state a $54 value. It went on sale in the Sephora app on 15 October 2026, then on Sephora's other platforms and Experiment's own site on 16 October 2026. Sephora says the glycerin-powered kit is designed to cleanse, hydrate and support the skin barrier.
Updated 17 October 2026: Experiment now sells the set on its own site, experimentbeauty.com, for $42, and it was in stock when we checked on 17 October. Sephora US also lists it at $42, now as an online-only item.

Release Date
Sephora US lists the set as "available exclusively in app 10/15, all other platforms 10/16". That means it went on sale in the Sephora app on 15 October 2026 and on Sephora's other platforms on 16 October 2026. On 15 October, the listing carried a "New" badge and pointed shoppers to the Sephora app to buy. Pickup isn't offered for this item.
The set appeared on experimentbeauty.com on 16 October 2026. Experiment announced it on Instagram the same week as "now available at experimentbeauty.com and Sephora".
Price
The set costs $42 at Sephora US and on experimentbeauty.com. Both list a $54 value for the set. The two minis aren't sold on their own, so there's no item-by-item breakdown that adds up to that figure.
On experimentbeauty.com, the full-size Super Saturated serum costs $28 on its own.
This set is not to be confused with Experiment's 360 Barrier Routine ($72 at experimentbeauty.com). That bundle contains the same three products, and the brand calls it an $80 value. The Glycerin Discovery Set is the cheaper, smaller-size option, at $42 on the same site.
What's Inside
Sephora lists these three products: one full-size serum and two minis.
- Plasma Wash Moisture-Depositing Gel Cream Cleanser with Glycerin, 1.35 oz / 40 mL (mini)

- Molecular Mesh Barrier Strengthening Moisturizer with Ectoin + Centella, 0.67 oz / 20 mL (mini)

For comparison, the brand site sells Plasma Wash full size at 150 ml for $22 and Molecular Mesh at 60 ml for $30. Super Saturated also comes in a Jumbo 80 ml size for $46.

What Makes the Glycerin Discovery Skincare Hydration Set Different?
- The full-size product is the serum, while the cleanser and moisturizer come as minis.
- Super Saturated contains 30% glycerin. According to Experiment, glycerin above 25% helps replenish the barrier as well as hydrate.
- At $42, it costs $30 less than Experiment's $72 360 Barrier Routine, which has the same three products in full sizes.
Other barrier-focused kits this season include the INNBEAUTY PROJECT Extreme Routine Firming & Barrier Repair Set and Paula's Choice Holiday 2026 Skincare Kits.
Formulas and Packaging
- Plasma Wash uses glycerin, amino-acid surfactants and castoryl maleate. Experiment says castoryl maleate helps glycerin stay on the skin after rinsing. It is a low-foaming gel-cream. In the brand's 35-person study, Experiment reports a 33% increase in skin hydration eight hours after use.
- Super Saturated contains 30% glycerin, polyglutamic acid, 2% niacinamide and squalane. It is a concentrate meant for damp skin, and the brand says malachite extract gives it its blue colour. Experiment reports a 96% improvement in hydration immediately after use in a 30-person study.
- Molecular Mesh contains ectoin, centella asiatica, phytosphingosine and squalane. The brand describes it as a lightweight cream that doesn't pill under SPF. In a 32-person study, Experiment reports a 28% decrease in redness after two weeks.
Sephora's listing contains a contradiction on fragrance. It says all three formulas are fragrance-free and made with sensitive skin in mind. Its "Ingredient Callouts" line also says the products contain less than one percent synthetic fragrance.
How to Use
Sephora's directions are to massage Plasma Wash onto damp skin and rinse, then apply one to two pumps of Super Saturated to damp skin. Follow with a small amount of Molecular Mesh, and add sunscreen during the day.
