r.e.m. beauty, Ariana Grande's clean makeup label, launched The Prima Palette on 29 September 2026. It is a limited-edition six-pan eyeshadow palette priced at $44.00 (US) and part of the r.e.m. beauty En Pointe Holiday 2026 Collection. Before the official launch, the palette was available as an Ulta Beauty app early-access exclusive. Its ballet-inspired shades come in velvety matte and luminous duochrome finishes.

The Shades: A Six-Step Ballet in Rosy Neutrals

The palette covers a tightly edited range of pinks, mauves and plums:

  • barre naked: soft pale pink matte
  • leotard: dusty rose matte
  • take a bow: rich plum matte
  • twinkle toes: a melange swirl of rose gold, lavender and iridescent shimmer
  • center stage: shimmering mauve
  • spotlight: a high-reflective pink shimmer topper

Formula Notes

The palette is split into two textures.

  • The three mattes (barre naked, leotard, take a bow) are built on a mica and rice powder base with shea butter.
  • The three shimmers (twinkle toes, center stage, spotlight) use an oil-containing formula with jojoba seed oil and hydrogenated olive oil unsaponifiables. They also contain calcium aluminum borosilicate for reflective dimension.

According to r.e.m. beauty, the formula is an Allure Best of Beauty winner. The brand says its proprietary pigment technology delivers longwearing, ultra-blendable, highly pigmented, one-stroke color with no fallout.

How to Wear It

r.e.m. beauty and Ulta suggest a simple layering approach:

  1. Start soft. Sweep a lighter matte such as barre naked or leotard across the lid as a base.
  2. Build and blend. Deepen the crease and outer corner with take a bow, blending the edges.
  3. Add the shimmer. Press center stage or twinkle toes onto the center of the lid. Add spotlight to the inner corner for extra dimension.

The packaging follows the ballet theme. It is an icy pale-blue and silver compact with a clear window lid, in a matching starburst-print box, and part of a wider r.e.m. beauty holiday lineup in the same frosty palette.
