Rare Beauty's Find Comfort Body Collection launched on December 19, 2023 with four products: a $28 Body and Hair Mist, a $28 Hydrating Body Lotion, a $20 Aromatherapy Pen and an $18 Hydrating Hand Cream. The lotion, mist and hand cream are still $28, $28 and $18 on Rare Beauty's site today.

What Does the Find Comfort Collection Smell Like?

The launch announcement described notes of sparkling lemon zest, soft jasmine and smooth cashmere wood. Rare Beauty's current product pages give the fuller pyramid: top notes of lemon zest, rhubarb and pomelo; middle notes of jasmine petals, violet and black tea extract; and a dry down of vetiver, tonka beans and cashmere wood.

All three are the same price as at the December 2023 launch.

What Is in the Formulas?

• Body lotion: Rare Beauty says it hydrates up to 24 hours with a fresh, non-greasy feel, and lists niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, peach flower extract and ashwagandha extract. It cites a study of 56 participants in which 98% reported soft, smooth, moisturized skin.
• Hand cream: hydrates for up to 16 hours, with the same key ingredients.
• Mist: a fine fragrance mist for body and hair, infused with biotin, niacinamide and peach flower extract.

Our take: the studies are brand-run and self-reported, so they show that testers liked the product more than they prove long-term results. The lotion, mist and hand cream share one scent, so they work best if you like the fragrance.

What About the Aromatherapy Pen?

The launch announcement described the $20 Aromatherapy Pen as a weightless, fast-absorbing gel with a soothing peppermint and lavender scent. We didn't open a current page for it, so its price and availability are unconfirmed.

Confirmed: launch prices and date from Rare Beauty's announcement; current prices, sizes, ratings, ingredients and scent notes for the lotion, mist and hand cream from Rare Beauty's product pages.

Not confirmed: the Aromatherapy Pen's current price and stock. Rare Beauty's site also lists newer Find Comfort items, such as a body cream, which we did not cover.

MAC's Snow Stack is a limited-edition white shade of its Stack Mega Mascara, released in December 2023 at $28. MAC described it as an "icy" small-batch shade for winter, available for a limited time only.

What Is Snow Stack?

MAC calls it the Stack Mega Mascara in a limited-edition snowy shade, with "infinite layers of icy haute volume and length." The formula is continuously buildable and clump-resistant, so you can customize volume from a natural look to something more dramatic, with instant lash lift and length.

Our take: a white mascara is mainly a fashion or layering product. A common way to use one is over a black coat for a frosted-tip effect, though MAC's description doesn't say how to wear it.

Is Snow Stack Still Available?

We couldn't confirm it. MAC's dedicated Snow Stack page returned a "not found" error, and the mascara listing page we opened didn't show Snow Stack among the products we could read, which suggests it has been removed from MAC's site. Search results show other listings, including Amazon and mall-retailer pages. We didn't verify any current stock or price.

What About the Regular Stack Mascara?

MAC also sells the standard M·A·CStack Mascara as a permanent product, according to search results for its site. If you like the buildable formula but not the white shade, that is the place to look.

Confirmed: the December 2023 launch, $28 price, limited-edition status and formula description come from MAC's announcement.

Not confirmed: the current price, availability at any retailer, and whether the size in the search listing matches the 2023 tube.
