Hourglass added four new shades to its Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm in January 2024: Reveal 90 (True Pink), Wish 95 (Warm Peach), Crave 140 (Warm Pink) and Rouse 180 (True Chestnut). The balm was $36 at the time, and Hourglass's page now lists it at $38.

Our take: the shade numbers appear to rise with depth: 90 and 95 are the lightest and 180 is the deepest of the four. That fits the color names, though we haven't swatched them.

What Does the Phantom Glossy Balm Do?

Hourglass calls it a 3-in-1 hybrid that hydrates like a lip balm, plumps for fuller-looking lips and delivers the high-shine finish of a lip gloss. The launch announcement said it glides on with rich color and comfortable wear, without a sticky or tacky feel, and contains a Conditioning Complex that leaves lips softer and smoother. Hourglass's page carries a "Bestseller" label and an Allure Best of Beauty 2023 badge.

Has the Range Grown?

A search summary describes the balm as available in a "curated collection of 20 shades" in a twist-up pen. The page we opened didn't list shade names, so we couldn't confirm that these four remain in the range.
