Charlotte Tilbury has released the Pillow Talk Beautifying Cushion Foundation in a Glimmer Limited Edition case, a sparkly pink version of the compact. It is the brand's first cushion foundation, offered in 5 shades with refills. Price and release date for the Glimmer edition have not yet been announced.
A New Chapter in the Pillow Talk Line
The Pillow Talk Beautifying Cushion Foundation adds a base product to Charlotte Tilbury's rose-toned Pillow Talk range. The Glimmer Limited Edition comes in a shimmering pink compact. The standard version uses a quilted pink compact with a mirror. According to Charlotte Tilbury, the foundation acts like a "beautifying filter" for a soft, pore-blurring glow.
What Makes This Cushion Foundation Special
The Pillow Talk line is built around a soft, rosy look. The brand describes this cushion foundation as a "love filter" that makes skin look smooth, radiant and even-toned.
Key details:
- Smoothing, blurring formula: according to the brand, it softens the appearance of pores and imperfections.
- Sheer-to-medium buildable coverage: the brand says it does not look cakey or crease into fine lines. Singapore retailer Beautyfresh describes the coverage as medium to high.
- Silk Mesh Technology™: Charlotte Tilbury describes this as a nature-inspired polymer. According to the brand, it gives a breathable feel and makes the formula quick-drying and transferproof.
- Golden Root Essence: the brand says this ingredient helps minimise the look of pores.
- Hydration and wear claims: according to Charlotte Tilbury, it moisturises skin for up to 24 hours and offers 12-hour longwear. Both claims are based on the brand's own consumer testing.
- Anti-oxidising shades: the brand says the shades stay true and do not oxidise.
- 5 shades available, with refills offered for a more sustainable top-up. Beautyfresh says the shades were curated for Asian skin tones.
- Limited edition Glimmer packaging in a sparkly pink finish.
How to Apply It
Cushion foundations work best with a light hand. The tips below follow the brand's directions where it gives them:
- Prep with hydration. Cushion formulas sit best on moisturised skin. Charlotte Tilbury suggests prepping with its Magic Cream.
- Press, don't swipe. The brand advises pressing the quilted puff into the micro mesh compact, then patting it onto skin. It says the teardrop shape is designed for precise application around the eyes, lips and nose.
- Build strategically. Start sheer across the whole face, then layer just where you need extra coverage, such as around the nose, chin or any redness.
- Blend. Charlotte Tilbury recommends soft, dabbing motions with the puff, your fingers or its Magic Complexion Brush.
- Top up on the go. The compact is slim and includes a mirror for touch-ups.
Key Details
The cushion joins the existing Pillow Talk lipsticks, blushes and eyeshadow palettes as the line's foundation option.
The Glimmer Limited Edition case is a limited run, and limited edition Pillow Talk pieces have tended to sell out quickly.
