## When Will the CeraVe BEMT Body Sunscreen Launch?

CeraVe hasn't announced an official release date. The only confirmed timing is the brand's "coming soon" teaser, posted to CeraVe US's Instagram in mid-October 2026. As of 16 October 2026, cerave.com's sunscreen and new-products pages don't list the product. The newest sunscreen listed there is the Invisible Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 Face.

## What Is Bemotrizinol (BEMT)?

On 9 June 2026, the FDA added **bemotrizinol** to the over-the-counter sunscreen monograph. It was the first new sunscreen active ingredient added since the late 1990s. Key points from the FDA's announcement:
