Issey Miyake Le Sel d'Issey Parfum is a woody marine leather fragrance for men built on salt, marine seaweed, saffron and dark woods. It is the newest and most intense concentration in the **Le Sel d'Issey** line, following the Eau de Toilette (2024) and the Eau de Parfum (2025). ## Release Date

Le Sel d'Issey Parfum launched in Europe in September 2026, when it was listed at Notino France. In Japan, it releases on 7 October 2026, according to Japanese beauty magazine MAQUIA. US and UK release dates have not been confirmed. ## Issey Miyake Le Sel d'Issey Parfum Fragrance Notes

No top, heart and base pyramid has been published for the Parfum. According to Issey Miyake, the scent is built on two opposing forces of nature:

-   **The sea:** a signature salt accord, marine seaweed, oakmoss and aquatic facets.
-   **The earth:** saffron and leather facets, dark woods including Indian rosewood, patchouli as a woody backbone, and an amber accord in the base.

## What Does Issey Miyake Le Sel d'Issey Parfum Smell Like?

Going by its listed notes, the Parfum pairs a salty, seaweed-and-moss marine side with saffron, leather and dark woods such as Indian rosewood and patchouli, resting on an amber accord. Perfumer **Quentin Bisch** describes salt as the memory of the sea on skin. He says that for this version he amplified both the marine notes and the ambery dimension to give it more depth and texture than its predecessors.

## What Makes the Le Sel d'Issey Parfum Different?

-   It is classified as woody marine leather, while the Eau de Toilette is woody marine and the Eau de Parfum is woody marine dry amber.

-   The bottle keeps the original Le Sel d'Issey silhouette but uses smoky brown glass inspired by black salt.

## Bottle and Formula

Designer **Tokujin Yoshioka** keeps the original Le Sel d'Issey bottle shape and reworks it around the idea of black salt. The glass shows a gradient of smoky browns and is topped with a glossy black cap. According to Issey Miyake, the formula is vegan, with 92% ingredients of natural origin. It comes in 50ml and 100ml sizes.
