Hourglass's own page states that the earlier custom Unlocked palettes could be customized only on the Hourglass website and were not available at retailers. - According to Hourglass, it pairs complexion powders with a message of positivity, the theme carried by the series' Wish, Hope and Luck names. ## How It Compares with Previous Releases Earlier Ambient Lighting Edit Palettes were released as limited editions with multi-use powders. According to Hourglass's Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked page, the Wish, Hope and Luck palettes introduced fifteen new Ambient Lighting shades. The brand says the powders use its Photoluminescent Technology to filter out harsh light, and that the shades can be used individually or layered.
