**Our take:** the range leans on nudes and browns, with only three shades that read berry or red. That fits the "true-cast" idea Fenty describes: liner colors meant to match natural lip tones on deeper and lighter skin.

## What Makes the Formula Different?

Fenty says the pencil is made with pure pigments for true-cast color, with a creamy formula that glides on and then sets like liquid, so there is time to blend before it becomes transfer-resistant. The launch announcement said it can be sharpened for precision and doesn't leave an ashy or draggy finish. The page describes it as no-tug and waterproof.

## Does It Pair With Fenty's Glosses?

## What Is Confirmed, and What Is Not?

**Confirmed:** price, 16 shade names, claims and rating (4 out of 5 stars from 119 reviews) are from Fenty's [product page](https://fentybeauty.com/products/traced-out-longwear-waterproof-pencil-lip-liner-extra-thigh).

**Not confirmed:** the page we read doesn't list ingredients, and it doesn't say which 10 shades were in the July 2024 launch. We haven't tested the 8-hour claim.

**September 21, 2026 update:** we re-checked the price and shade list. The price is $4 above the announcement price, and the range has grown from 10 to 16 shades.
